Canvas Webinars

Ending and Beginning the Year in Canvas Procedures

Staff will learn how to transition between the change of school years in Canvas. This is an optional webinar and no registration is needed.

We will cover the following topics:

Ending the year:

  • terms and concluded courses
  • exporting the gradebook
  • making course backups
  • using manual courses

Beginning the year:

  • past enrollments
  • moving content to new courses
  • cross-listing courses
  • checklist for new courses

Viewing the webinar: Listening to the webinar:
  1. Click the Enter button to access the meeting.
  2. Enter your name and e-mail address and click Join.
  3. Follow prompts for installation.
  1. Call 1-240-454-0879.
  2. Enter the meeting number from the table below.

  1. Go to Training Space within the Canvas Community. Once you get there follow these steps:
  2. WATCH ME FIRST - How Access the Training Portal - Screencast
  3. Create an Account using your institution assigned email address
  4. Sign in to the Canvas Training Portal
  5. Locate the training you will register for

    2. Search the event portal here
  1. Click "Register Now"
  2. Double check the Training Requirements
  3. Attend your Training
