Google Integrations in Canvas

There are currently two Google integrations in Canvas: Google Assignments (LTI 1.3) and Google Drive Cloud Assignments (Expiring). Both integrations allow users to easily access their Google Drive files and use many Google tools right within Canvas.

Google Assignments (LTI 1.3)

Where to Access

  • Rich Content Editor
  • Assignments
  • Submit assignment linked from the assignment or from file upload.

Expected Behaviors with Google Assignments (LTI 1.3)

  • SpeedGrader does not display submitted Google files.
  • Grading must be completed in Google.
  • Grades in Google will pass to the Canvas Gradebook.
  • Canvas rubrics cannot be used for grading.
  • Resubmission will override the current grade in Canvas.
